Employee Spotlight: Abby Wright

We are pleased to recognize Abby Wright for Employee Spotlight! Abby is a Service Coordinator at our Tulsa, Oklahoma Sprinkler Division. Abby has been a part of the VSC team since March 2024. 

Abby joined the team just before the Division opened, in August 2024. She has also been a part of the Albuquerque and Colorado Springs technical training courses for their coordinators. She describes being a part of VSC and the fire protection and life safety industry as “super rewarding!” 

Jerry Nickel, VP Division Manager for our Tulsa Sprinkler Division remembers his first impression of Abby being “a hard worker and self-driven.” Jerry went on to say, “Abby seeks out to learn her craft as well as the understanding of the job scopes she is overseeing.”

We asked Abby what made working with VSC different than other companies she had worked with, and she said, “We are not just co-workers, but a team that I am able to call family. It is not often that you find people who enjoy coming to work every day. VSC truly cares about their employees!” 

Abby began as an Inspections Coordinator at the beginning of her career and has been promoted to Service Coordinator. She is currently working on her Inspectors license and hopes to apply for an Inspections Management role one day. Jerry highlighted that “Abby continues to excel and is studying to learn Inspections to work up to a manager role.”

Jerry also mentioned how Abby contributes to the company culture. “Abby is always thinking about the employees and their wellbeing and makes me take a pause at times to take a moment to appreciate and recognize the employees. She is committed, consistent and accountable,” he said.

Abby’s proudest achievement since joining VSC has been her ability to grow within her role and be someone that others reach out to for help. “Even on the busiest days, I am proud to be a resource to other divisions and internally” she said. Abby went on to highlight how much she has learned, and that every day there is something new.

When Abby is not at work, you can find her crocheting or watching any kind of YouTube podcast. One day she would love to travel overseas. The last book she read was “NFPA 13”. 

We are grateful for Abby and all she does for our team. We wish her nothing but success in the future.
