We are happy to recognize Tammy Echols as the Employee Spotlight for June! Tammy is an Administrative Assistant for our Charlotte Division. Tammy joined our team in August of 2022 after a friend had told her about a job opening with VSC and talked about how “it was a good company to work for”.
Tammy has seen the company grow and change over her 3 years with us, including her own personal growth from Receptionist to Admin Assistant. Customer service is something that is important to Tammy, “I feel I provide VSC with great customer service, which is a skill I’ve possessed since I began my working career. I connect with people not only in a professional setting, but in my personal life as well. I navigate my life and work ethic by the “Golden Rule”, she said.
The VP Division Manager for our Charlotte Integrated Systems Division remembers his first impression of Tammy being “funny and outspoken” when he met her on her first day at VSC. “Tammy goes above and beyond daily. Always looking to make the team better and stronger. She consistently looks to improve herself to be better at her job and be well rounded,” he said.
VSC is one of the largest companies Tammy has worked for, which is different from some of her previous roles. Leaving her mark and making an impact with VSC is also important to Tammy, “I apply myself one hundred percent because I want to succeed in this job and in my personal life. I want to be missed one day when I retire”.
“Tammy embodies what we want here as a division. Communication, willingness to help and see things through,” the Division Manager said. “She is passionate and dedicated” he continued.
When Tammy is away from the office, you can find her on the river in her pontoon or spending time with her 3 grandchildren. She would love to visit the Dallas Cowboys stadium one day, even though ironically, she is not a Cowboys fan and is a Washington Commanders fan.
We are happy that Tammy is a part of the team. Her exceptional customer service and team player attitude are among many of the qualities that are important to VSC. We wish her the best for her future.
