Employee Spotlight: Greg Powell

Greg Powell works on the Low Voltage Sales Team in our Cabot office. He joined the team through the acquisition of Arkansas Automatic Sprinkler and United Fire Suppression. Greg is NICET-Certified for Fire Protection – Fire Alarm Systems and has several certifications for Access Control and Video Installation. 

While working on the Low Voltage Sales Team, Greg has extended professional relationships with vendors and customers, learned new technologies specific to customer needs and improved his sales skills through seminars and education courses.  Greg also goes above and beyond being a salesman, regularly assisting and coaching install teams based on the low voltage system the customer needs. Greg’s proudest achievement is his decade of service to VSC. Recently, Greg attended the ICS West to better equip himself with the tools to provide cutting-edge solutions for all of our customers’ needs. 

When Greg isn’t on the job, you can find the retired musician playing the drums, taking his boat out on the lake or spending time with his family. He is a big University of Arkansas fan and hopes to visit all of the SEC Football stadiums for a Razorback football game. One of his favorite restaurants is Fire & Stone in Cabot.

Eric commends Greg for his commitment to VSC and his dedication to promoting our services and cultivating customer relationships. Eric would describe Greg as loyal, detailed, and humble. “He is great to work with and is a great listener,” said Eric.

When asked how Greg has gone above and beyond, he said, “Greg takes time away from his family and grandchildren to attend multiple trade shows and vendor meetings for the development of VSC.” He also spoke about how Greg assists new hires by coaching them through the sales and estimating process until they feel comfortable. Eric wishes Greg continued success in his career at VSC and congratulates him on 10 years of service.
