John Bates was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, where he attended DS Freeman High School and later pursued his education at Old Dominion University.  John comes to us from LL Flooring where he was Program Manager for Business Initiatives.  Prior to LL, John spent 23 years with several retail organizations where he worked in multiple areas including business strategy, data analytics, supply chain/inventory management, and sales management.  John partners with all the departments and divisions to help develop programming, training, and processes, consistently across the organization. 

John resides in Henrico with his wife, Annette, and two children, Audrey and River. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis and other outdoor activities, as well as volunteering his time with the local running community.
