VSC Fire & Security Acquires St. Pete Fire Protection
Posted on April 8, 2026 by Dominique Rose
VSC Fire & Security, Inc. (VSC) of Richmond, Va., has acquired St. Pete Fire Protection of Tampa, Florida. Made effective April 1,2026, this partnership expands VSC’s presence in the state of Florida and gives customers of both companies’ additional service offerings, increased standardization of services and an enhanced network of support staff.
“SPFP has been a leader in the Florida market since their inception in 2010. Suzanne’s reputation speaks for itself. She is incredibly well-respected in the Southeast Market, involved in legislative efforts statewide to better our industry. SPFP’s values of knowledge, experience, commitment, and integrity fully align with what we’ve built our business on at VSC. The team at SPFP are at the top of their market, and we look forward to giving them the tools and support so that they can continue to excel while exploring new opportunities,” said Tommy Clements, president of VSC Fire & Security. “With the SPFP acquisition, we continue to attract people with a shared vision of what great companies look like and how they act.”
St. Pete Fire Protection employees can also expect a broader network for support, alongside additional training advancement, and growth opportunities.
“This isn’t just a business transaction; it’s a joining of like-minded individuals, a strengthening of bonds & values within our industry,” said Jeff Riddle, COO at VSC Fire & Security. “Together, we’re poised to deliver even greater value and service to our clients and communities. I’m incredibly excited about this next chapter in our journey and having Suzanne on board.”
“After 16 years of owning and growing my own fire protection company, St. Pete Fire, I made the decision to merge with VSC — the very company I originally left to start my business. St. Pete Fire was more than a company to me; it was a family, built around trust, commitment, and pride in protecting our community”, said Suzanne Saults.
“Coming back to VSC felt like coming home. The leadership had evolved, and it was clear that the culture now reflected many of the same values that drove SPFP. This merger created tremendous opportunities for our team, while keeping the heart and family atmosphere that defined who we are. I am excited to lead a new team that blends the best of both worlds: the close-knit, values-driven spirit of St. Pete Fire and the scale, resources, and support of VSC.”
All 25 St. Pete Fire Protection employees will be retained, and no personnel changes are planned. For more information, visit VSCFire.com.
