We are thrilled to recognize Paul Petcavage for Employee Spotlight! Paul is an Integrated Systems Service Technician at our Springfield, Virginia Division. Paul joined VSC in 2010 to learn more about the fire alarm industry and how to service and repair those systems.
Since starting, Paul has seen growth which includes a program that maintains our fleet vehicles, and improvements with the ticket-processing efficiency. “Working at VSC is different than other companies. We don’t micromanage policies,” Paul said.
Adrienne Beall, Integrated Systems Service Manager, remembers her first impression of Paul. “Paul was polite and highly recommended by others,” Adrienne went on to add. “He also takes ownership of all work locations and learns from them, no matter the outcome.”
Paul’s proudest achievement is being able to improve his customer service skills. “I have become a better team player and represent VSC professionally at each service call.” Adrienne said, “Paul goes above and beyond. When a fellow employee could not do their on-call week, Paul volunteered to help the team.”
Adrienne also recognizes how Paul adds to the company culture. “He is always willing to help a fellow workmate. He is consistent, meticulous and resourceful,” she said.
When Paul isn’t spending his time at work, you can find him servicing and repairing vintage equipment and televisions. Recently, he read “Broken Genius: The Rise and Fall of William Shockley.” On his bucket list is retirement — and he hopes to retire in Staunton, Virginia when it is time.
