We are excited to highlight Christine Thomas for Employee Spotlight! Christine is our Service Coordinator in our Baltimore, Maryland Sprinkler division and joined the team in August, 2012. Christine’s husband was in Inspections which motivated her to apply for an Inspection Coordinator role.
Since joining the team, Christine has watched the company grow, which has included the expansion to over 35 offices. Balancing multiple teams while keeping schedules on track is no easy task, however Christine has been able to excel even when customers have last minute changes.
Dave Victor, Operations Manager in our Baltimore, Maryland Sprinkler division remembers his first impression of Christine. “She was quiet and shy,” he said. “I met her when I came to the Baltimore division for the Inspection and Integrated Systems teams.”
“I feel like VSC is a career and it is a meaningful job,” Christine said. “We handle life safety and that saves lives.”. Her proudest achievement since joining the team was being able to get her collections rate down, which can be challenging. “Since starting my current role, I have grown professionally by strengthening my communication, organization and problem-solving skills – and of course always having great customer service,” she added.
Dave recognizes the growth Christine has had since joining saying: “She went from assisting as a scheduler, to taking on all inspecting scheduling in Baltimore. She is the definition of a “can-do” person. If she can do it, she will – often without being told. She’s dependable.”
One thing that surprised Christine about working here was how much teamwork and collaboration goes into keeping operations running smoothly. “We all work together as a team,” she said.
When she is not at work, Christine enjoys watching “Beverly Hills 90210,” visiting state parks with her husband and dog, and spending time with her family. She loves to travel too, and hopes to one day retire at Surfside Beach in South Carolina.
