We are excited to highlight Haley Paz for Employee Spotlight! Haley is our Administrative Assistant in our Raleigh, North Carolina, Division. Haley has been on the team since September 2023 after someone recommended VSC to her as a great place to work.
During her three years, Haley has seen the company grow in efficiency, teamwork and the volume of work we are able to take in. “It’s been really cool to see how much VSC has expanded,” she said. Haley highlighted how VSC is different from working at other companies because there are many opportunities to grow and learn. “Since joining, I’ve been able to expand my skills, learn a completely new industry, and take on responsibilities I never expected. It’s a place where you’re encouraged to keep learning,” she said.
Christine Freeman, Office Manager for the Raleigh Division, nominated Haley and remembers her first impression of her and her genuine warmth. “She immediately made others feel comfortable. She always uses kindness and respect towards others,” Christine said.
Haley has really enjoyed making a difference. Haley’s proudest achievement has been the impact she’s made on Accounts Receivable (AR) and helping the Division. “It’s been really rewarding to see the results of staying organized, persistent and committed,” she added. “I’m confident in taking on complex tasks, staying in close communication with my team, and adapting when priorities change. I also have a much better sense of how my work fits into the bigger picture, which helps me make more meaningful decisions.”
“Haley has done a phenomenal job, particularly taking ownership of AR Collections. Her efforts have produced very positive results, significantly improving the overall state of accounts.” Christine went on to add how impactful Haley has been because of her dedication and effectiveness, which ensures the projects continue to run smoothly. “Haley is a team player who listens, communicates openly and makes others feel valued. Her willingness to help and share knowledge sets a tone to the rest of the team. When a customer needs help, she steps in with calm confidence, untangles the issue and turns the moment into a win. Her approach doesn’t just solve problems; it sets the tone for how we show up for our customers and each other.” she added.
When Haley isn’t on the clock, you can find her watching “Chopped” on Food Network. She loves cooking shows! She also enjoys cooking and spending time with her dogs and cats. The best advice she has ever been given was to “give herself grace. Growth takes time, and it’s ok to not have everything figured out right away”.
