We are excited to recognize Jamie Tanner as this month’s Employee Spotlight! Jamie is an Administrative Assistant for our Enterprise team.
Jamie started with VSC Fire & Security in November of 2024 after looking for new career opportunities. She describes working with VSC like working with family and has been excited to see the growth within her own team over the last 9 months. One of her highlights has been her ability to help train others on her team.
Integrity is deeply rooted in Jamie’s day to day, “I take pride in what I do, and I don’t stop until my job is done for the day.” Jamie is up for any challenge and learning new ways to do things here at VSC. Jamie shared she has grown professionally, “I am always trying to learn new things. I set goals daily.” Jamie’s supervisor Alisen Booker, who is our Office Manager for the Enterprise team highlights how Jamie “approaches every challenge with a smile and the willingness to step in wherever support is needed. Jamie consistently thinks outside the box. She takes the initiative to research thoroughly and make any necessary calls to find the solution herself.”
Alisen describes Jamie as “a hard worker, efficient and dependable. She goes above and beyond daily, anything I ever need, she jumps in without hesitation.” Alisen has been a part of Jamie’s VSC journey since Jamie started, training her on her first day. “Jamie has acquired more responsibility and learned how to do an extended number of things within the division. She is always positive and helpful.”
When asked about the best advice Jamie had ever been given, she said “no matter what happens, keep your head up and know that God has your back.” Booker shares that her advice to Jamie is to “keep doing what you’re doing and you will work your way to the top in no time.”
Outside of VSC, you can find Jamie playing Fortnite with her kids and making t-shirts, watching True Crime or going to Olive Garden. One of Jamie’s items on her bucket list is going to Universal Studios in Florida.
